Roddy Brothers

William, George, and John Meet First Time in 35 years
from Pueblo, Colorado newspaper
January 18, 1925

The clipping is very ragged and much of the story is missing, but here is what I can decipher.

The crossroads of occupation brought together in Pueblo this week, three brothers for the first time in 35 years. The brothers are George S. Roddy, William Roddy (my father,) and John H. Roddy.

George S. and William Roddy and nationally known traveling men and their paths of business cross every few months, but this meeting was the first since the brothers were boys that fate rounded them up with John H. Roddy in Pueblo.
John H. Roddy, 1402 East Fourth, who retired last as constable last week moved to Colorado 23 years ago and has resided in the state almost constantly since then. He first entered the employ of the Santa Fe railroad at La Junta. Starting as shopman he climbed to fireman and engineer.
For the 19 years Roddy has held various public positions in Pueblo with the city and county departments.

That is all from the story. My Uncle George was a press agent for many years, as was my father. His bio is on the Circus page.

Strange that John worked for the Santa Fe, as did his father, David R. P. Roddy.

His biography is under Railroading in the main index to the Roddys.
