My Trip to Europe in 1926

ss President Roosevelt

We were going to Europe on a vessel that was only 535 feet long and weighed 21,900 tons. Sailing in winter across the North Atlantic is blustery and cold.

Fortunately there were other children on the ship and I was able to escape for a time from my escorts.

I'm in the middle row at left.
Nine days later we were in France and I had my first look at Paris.
